telehealth in California, New York, florida, virginia & Michigan

I am an emotionally focused and somatic therapist specializing in Eft, trauma, anxiety disorders and addiction

Individual therapy is about more than reducing symptoms. It is about understanding yourself more deeply, healing the experiences that have shaped you, and developing healthier ways of relating to yourself, others, and the world around you

All therapy occurs in the context of the therapeutic relationship and effective therapy involves a collaborative, respectful, and well-attuned client-therapist relationship. My goal is to create an environment that helps you connect with yourself and your goals for your life.

Clients tell me I am especially helpful in guiding them toward understanding themselves, their most meaningful needs, and in helping them learn how to have healthy and connected relationships.

Institutional trauma recovery

Many individuals seek therapy after experiences in residential treatment, therapeutic boarding schools, wilderness programs, psychiatric hospitalization, or substance use treatment. While these programs can provide important stabilization, they often leave lasting emotional, relational, and identity-related questions that continue long after discharge.

I specialize in helping individuals process these experiences, rebuild trust in themselves and others, navigate family relationships, and integrate what happened into a more coherent life story.

What It's Like to Work Together

My style is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I balance emotional depth with practical guidance, helping clients better understand themselves while creating meaningful and lasting change. I believe therapy works best when clients feel respected, understood, and actively involved in the process.

My therapeutic approach:

* Person-centered

* Attachment focused

* Trauma informed and specialized

* Somatic and experiential (“bottom up”)

* Psychodynamic and relational

specialized Trauma Recovery

As a trauma specialist, I work with a range of trauma issues including complex trauma, attachment wounds and post-traumatic stress disorder. My specialty trauma training is through the Somatic Experiencing Institute (SETI). My trauma work is comprehensive and focuses on healing the nervous system, improving resilience, and integrating mind, body, and emotions.

Truly holistic care

I have guided clients from crisis stabilization to recovery and thriving. For eight years, I functioned as part of an integrated care team, working in settings such as psychiatric outpatient clinics, residential/acute care, and intensive outpatient programs creating a deep understanding of the multiple dimensions that are often involved to improve mental health. I use this experience to effectively collaborate on a holistic treatment plan for my clients. It is common for my work to include collaboration with dietitians, psychiatrists and other physicians, naturopaths, coaches, testing psychologists and other wellness professionals.

Typically, individual sessions are held on a weekly basis but can vary on frequency based on an individual's treatment plan. I will discuss session frequency during your first visit.
